Greetings from the warm Caribbean!!!
Because the first Alumni Reunion Cruse in October 2023 was so successful, the Association decided to continue this tradition and put together another cruse for 2025. Once again we left from Port Canaveral, Florida for the seven day excursion to the warm Caribbean waters. Most of the group gathered at the Homewood Suites in Cape Canaveral-Cocoa Beach the night before the cruise started. The week long festivities started with a group dinner at Fish Lips just a few miles down the road. It was great for everyone to meet and greet over some delicious seafood. The next day we embarked the Celebrity Equinox to begin our journey. After a relaxing day at sea filled with activities, shows, food, and drink, we pulled into Key West for the day. A group made there way up the famous Duval Street imbibing a few drinks along the way at some of the iconic watering holes on the island. Back to sea for another strenuous day of eating, drinking, and lounging in in sun, the ship pulled into CoCo Cay for a daylong adventure on their private island. This was a great day of hanging at the beach or pool, eating, drinking, ziplining, waterslides, hot air ballooning, and just hanging with some great friends. If you have never been to Royal Caribbean/Celebrity's private island, I highly recommend it! The next day saw the ship pull into Nassau Bahamas. A wonderful historic Caribbean Island city from the days of pirate lore. After many hours of exploring this beautiful island the ship headed out to sea for our final day underway. We arrived back in sunny Port Canaveral and disembarked with many fond memories of places visited and hanging with the brotherhood once again.
The AFA North Alumni Association has been working with one of the premier cruise travel agents in the country, Ms. Kathryn Crouch, to put together these grand events and celebrations of our unique Farragut Northern heritage. Stay tuned to our website for the next cruise.
